At Noon Day, we strive to provide the best and most effective services to those in the most need. We have only two full-time staff members and seek to minimize all our costs while still providing the most effective services possible. Does Noon Day receive government funding?
Noon Day Ministries is a private organization and does not receive government funding. While the board had considered applying to qualify for funding as a faith-based initiative in the past, such a designation would place certain restrictions on Noon Day thereby limiting the ability of Noon Day to carry out all the services which we provide to our homeless and near-homeless guests. As such, Noon Day has never received or accepted government funding.
Is Noon Day a ministry of faith?
Noon Day was founded on a vision of caring for God’s needy and homeless children and we remain a ministry of faith. We believe that the most important service we can provide is to give all those who walk through our doors the chance to know about the saving grace of our Lord and Savior. Before lunch each day we have time of worship for our guests to give them the chance to accept Jesus into their lives. Noon Day provides Bibles to those who request them and has a chapel that is open to our guests for prayer and worship. It is our sincere hope that all of our guests will come to find peace and healing through a relationship with our Lord so that one day they can have all their needs fully met in Heaven.
